Te(cn)ologías de liberación

2025

Video-performance that explores religious syncretism as a spiritual and political strategy of survival for Black communities in Colombia.

Through ritual actions involving fire, iron, and the body, the work confronts colonial violence enacted through religious imposition and forced labor.

It reveals how African spiritualities were concealed and resisted beneath Catholic imagery, challenging the linear notion of Western time and proposing the spiral as a key animist framework.
